Kayawei Earth is a 508c1a non-profit organization operating in spiritual and material collaboration with the indigenous nations of the Amazon.
Our Mission
To support indigenous-led projects in land protection, food security, and community wellbeing, while facilitating ceremonies, educational gatherings, and cultural exchanges that bring indigenous wisdom to communities seeking healing and spiritual growth.
Our Vision
A world where indigenous wisdom is recognized as essential to the healing of the Earth. Where communities thrive through reciprocal relationships and protecting the Amazon is a shared responsibility.

Txaná Tuwe Huni Kuin
SPIRITUAL LEADER
Txana Tuwe is a Huni Kuin spiritual and community leader from the Brazilian Amazon dedicated to preserving ancestral culture, protecting sacred medicines, and developing sustainable initiatives for his community along the Humaitá River.
He leads the on-ground implementation of our food security project in partnership with six villages and serves as one of our spiritual leaders, guiding prayer circles and cultural immersions both in the US and his home village, Aldeia Novo Futuro.

Leah Steiger
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Leah moved to Brazil at seventeen and has been based there for eleven years. She holds a degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley and has spent extended periods living in villages, immersing herself in the traditions and medicines of the Huni Kuin, Shanenawa, and Yawanawa peoples.She has worked as an interpreter for indigenous-led festivals, serving as a cultural bridge. Through Kayawei Earth, she amplifies indigenous voices and channels resources back to the communities that have been her teachers.

Angeline Chen
CO-FOUNDER
Angeline Chen is an artist, creative and activist. With a masters in economic development and international affairs, she has ten years of experience working in art, project development, impact and partnerships.
She is the founder of Global Coralition, The Art Rising and OR (a four day transformative gathering). She has felt the profound healing Amazonian wisdom and medicine has to offer the world and joined forces to bring Kayawei Earth to life.
